While I was waiting for my best friend a couple of weeks ago, I decided to look inside Sephora. I didn’t plan on buying anything; however, I wanted to get a few samples of foundation and primers to try. During the summer months, I sweat very easily and get very oily in my T-zone area. I hate when I put on my makeup and it looks flawless; but as soon as I step outside and take a few steps, I look like a grease ball. I told myself last summer that I would switch up the products that I am using to help remedy this situation.
I have read lots of people rave about the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer and the Becca Ever Matte Poreless Primer. Since I had time to kill, I figured now is the perfect time to finally try these new products out. I had asked for a few samples and the beauty consultant happily made them for me. However, I did end up spending some money in there and bought a new lipstick and the Urban Decay All-Nighter Spray (reviews will be coming soon). I have been using these two items in my foundation routine, as oppose to my L’oreal True Match Foundation and Tarte Clean Slate 12-hourPrimer. While I do love my True Match, I love using the NARS Moisturizer more. I was a bit apprehensive using NARS, because most tinted moisturizers don’t have good coverage; but I was very pleased with the coverage this moisturizer has. It’s also very light on my face, leaves my skin glowing and has SPF 30. During the summertime, it is crucial that women use a foundation with SPF in it. The great thing about the Becca primer is that it leaves my T-zone area matte for up to 12 hours. Of course, if it’s very humid outside, I will get a little oily, but not as much when I was using the Tarte primer. I don’t have to worry about constantly touching up throughout the day.
After I wash and moisturize my face, I use the Becca primer and then put the foundation on and then do my regular routines of concealing, putting on a light layer of powder, blush, etc.
I personally think these two products are the Holy Grail for any woman in the summer! I also have an updated nighttime foundation routine that I am trying out, because I am tired of using my Kat Von D foundation and need something that is a little lighter for me. But more on that in a later post.
