Happy Makeup Monday! Today I’m sharing with you guys my go-to lipsticks that I will be wearing this fall season. I had did a similar post but for the summer last year and since lots of people liked it, I decided to do one for the fall. Plus I’ve added lots of lippies to my collection since that post, so I’m excited to share it with you guys! Majority of the lipsticks are from MAC but I do have two that are not. And I will be sharing with you guys what liners I used with each lipstick. And please excuse my resting bitch face. Haha.
- Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Loilta:
- Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Cognac:
I picked up this lippie at a recent trip to Sephora and I decided to buy it because I heard lots of good things about Bite Beauty and their lipsticks. I wanted to get a matte brown lipstick for awhile since I don’t own anything like it in my collection and 90’s-esque brown lipstick is making a comeback so I decided on getting it. I love this color. It compliments my skin tone so well. I think this lipstick will compliment any skin tone, even my fair skin ladies. My only issue with it is that it isn’t very matte. There is still a bit of a sheen to it and it isn’t very long lasting. After I eat or drink, I do have to reapply my lipstick again. But those are very minor things. I do not use a lip liner when applying this lipstick, I line my lips with the lipstick and then I fill it in.
- Talk That Talk lipstick by MAC (Limited Edition):
This lipstick came out last fall with the RiRi Hearts Mac collection and this was the first color to be sell out online. Its a beautiful burgundy matte shade. And when I say matte, I mean really matte. This color does not come up your lips. It does leave a stain on your lips which is a bit annoying. But it is a perfect shade for the fall especially if you are feeling a little vampy. To line my lips I use Nightmoth lip pencil from Mac. I forgot to mention you do have to prime your lips for the color to apply well and not patchy. This is a limited edition product and that means MAC does not have it anymore but there are lots of dupes to this lippie so don’t worry if you had skipper’s remorse over it.
- Fixed On Drama by MAC:
This color is very similar to Talk that Talk but it’s not as dark. Fixed on Drama is more of a dark red shade. I love a dark red lip. It’s such a statement color and vampy. It’s perfect for me for the days where I don’t want to wear a very dark lip color but don’t want to wear a nude color either. Also its a matte shade which I don’t know if you notice, but I love them! I use Nightmoth lip pencil to line my lips and then I apply the color.
- Punk Couture lipstick by MAC (Limted Edition):
I love purple lipsticks! They compliment almost every skin tone and the array of colors are gorgeous and this lippie is no exception. Punk Couture came out last year in the fall for the Punk Couture collection and I immediately had to grab this lipstick because it is a very dark color. I wore this lipstick a few days ago ant work and lots of people complimented me on the lipstick. It’s a very unique color to me because I don’t have a color like this in my collection. When I want to be bold, I would wear this color and keep the rest of my face very simple. I lined my lip with Chestnut lip pencil and then I would blend out the line and put on the lipstick. Like TTT, this lipstick is limited edition and sold out but there are probably a few dupes for it.
- Hautecore lipstick by MAC (Limited Edition):
This lipstick is something I decided to buy on a whim but I’m so happy that I bought it. Hautecore was one of the colors in the Punk Couture collection by MAC and when I saw it I thought, “Am I really going to wear black lipstick?” Surprisingly I do wear this lipstick a lot. I love this lipstick! It’s a perfect matte black lipstick because it’s hard to find a good matte black lipstick. When I do wear it, I don’t wear wing liner because I want the focus to be on the lips. Plus its the perfect lipstick for Halloween. I use Chestnut lip pencil to line my lips and then the rest is magic!
