NYFW Fall 2015: Georgine’s Ode to the Roaring 20’s

All photos were taken by me.

Georgine Ratelband is becoming one of my favorite designers to see during NYFW. I was in love with her Spring collection (you can read my review here) and this season she did not disappoint. This season Georgine found inspiration from the Weimar Cabaret from the 1920’s and 30’s Berlin with a mix of the mod sensibility of 1960’s British designers Ossie Clarke and Biba. This collection is full of beautiful furs, gorgeous jewel tones and embroidery.

What I enjoy the most about Georgine is that she brings luxury into her RTW collections. She knows who her woman is; which to me is a woman who is classy, takes charge and wants all eyes on her when she walks into a room. My type of woman (#lifegoals). Georgine knows how to make a woman feel good and it translates into her clothing and design aesthetic. I had so many favorite pieces in this collection, but I really loved all the furs in this collection. I want them all especially the pink/purple one. I need to start saving now so that I can buy one of her pieces!

Just like last season I was able to go backstage, speak to Miss Ratelband and see all of the madness in preparation for her show.

Gahh!!! I need this in my closet!
