Off the Shoulder

Off the shoulder tops and dresses have been trending for the Spring/ Summer season and although these were “in style” back in the day, I’m happy they are making a comeback. I love this trend and I’m trying to contain myself from not buying every off the shoulder top or dress. I’m warning you now I might have a few more OOTD’s wear this style. I’m sorry, I can’t help it *shrugs*.

There are lots of brands that make off the shoulder tops, however I think H&M has the best selection at an inexpensive price point. I bought this a few months ago while I perusing the store and I was torn between the color I’m wearing and the white one. I usually wear lots of white shirts, but I hate the fact that I always get them dirty. I’m the girl that as soon I put on a white top, I end up with a stain on it by the end of the day. After walking around with them both in my hand for about 20 mins, I settled for the red one. I don’t own a lot of red tops, so this was the perfect addition to my closet.

At the time I shot this look it wasn’t very humid outside, which was perfect because I wanted to pair this top with jeans. I wanted to focus be on my shoulders. During the summer, I love to show them off especially since I have a tattoo there. Anyway, I didn’t want to wear any plain jeans and this pair from Topshop were perfect for the look. The ripped knee added an extra edge to it along with the choker. You can’t wear an off the shoulder top and NOT pair it with a nice choker. This one from Baublebar was perfect and I like the fact that it’s a bit different. The choker is actually way longer, but I decided to tie it to show off the tassels at the end.

Off the shoulder tops are my favorite trend for this season. What’s yours?
